Our Management and Teachers have over 50 years’ combined experience in the governance and management of Early Childhood Education and Care Centres, both in New Zealand and abroad. Owner / Director David Seah and Education Director Suzanne Ong are passionate about Early Childhood Education and foster an environment that reflects their passion. The global and varied experiences of the management, as well as the curriculum and programme, are reflected in a vibrant, inclusive and multi-cultural experience for the children and families at the Nurtury.
The Nurtury's inspirational environment has been carefully crafted to meet the needs of growing children and to inspire and promote physical, mental and emotional development.
Our belief in the learning and development opportunities the natural world can offer to the young child is echoed in our vast and natural outdoor space.
Set in a farm-like environment our programme encourages and involves the children in caring for the animals on our grounds. This includes feeding the animals and collecting the eggs from the chicken coop daily.
We have our own vegetable garden on-site that the children tend by planting, nurturing, and harvesting fresh vegetables. The produce regularly goes into the children's meals at the centre, with the added goodness of fresh fruit on our menu each day. Meals are provided and are cooked on-site in our large kitchen, where we are able to cater for individual dietary needs.
